Micro Mindful Behaviours in the Workplace Work

I’ve long believed that when workplace culture supports it, micro mindful behaviours in the workplace work which is a core competency taught in the Mindfulness in Business Series.  Such micro mindful behaviours in the workplace when practiced consistently are transformative in strengthening connection, collaboration, and individual mental wellbeing. Now the evidence is in.

Short Practice, Real Results A new randomised clinical trial from UCSF (1,458 employees) shows that consistency matters more than duration. Participants were asked to meditate for 10 minutes a day but averaged only 5.2 minutes—yet still saw an 85% drop in stress, sustained for four months.

Why It Matters: This proves that “short and sweet”  mindful practices work. Micro-dosing mindfulness fits even the most transactional workflows, giving busy managers a tool they can actually use—in five minutes flat.

The Mindfulness in Business Series offers a sustainable way to embed mindful practices across your organisation. To learn how it can support your 2026 wellbeing strategy, please email in**@********ne.ie.

The Mindful Connection is Back

Five years ago, the Mindfulness in Business Series began as an experiment. Since then, hundreds of participants have discovered practical mindfulness tools to improve focus, regulate emotions, and bring greater presence to work and life.

Today, attention is under pressure, disconnection is rising, and emotional overwhelm is becoming the norm. In 2019, the WHO recognised “burnout” as an occupational phenomenon, and OSHA Europe reports that 29% of workers experience stress, depression, or anxiety. When practiced intentionally, mindfulness is a powerful way to support mental health, manage stress, and strengthen resilience.

Mindful habits strengthen collaboration by promoting psychological safety. By training attention and awareness, people communicate more clearly, listen with empathy, and feel more attuned to their teams.

Once of mindful habits don’t work, consistency is required. Even with the best intentions, most of us drift. The Mindful Connection was created to help you refresh your practice, reconnect with yourself, and rebuild habits that support calm, clarity, and balance.

Whether you’ve completed the Series before or are simply seeking calm in the chaos, the 2026 sessions are for you.

Christmas can be a triggering time for many, and sensory overload is common with the season’s demands. Please stay safe, practise self-care, and if you’re concerned about someone, reaching out can make a powerful difference.

Warm wishes for the season,

Susan
